Dead Island Riptide: Rigor Mortis Edition announced for North America

A collector’s edition for Dead Island Riptide has been announced. Called The Rigor Mortis Edition, the packages is exclusive to North and Latin America, and comes with all sorts of goodies.

For $79.99 you will get the following (per Gematsu):

  • Alternate Box Art
  • Bungalow Key with Wooden Tag
  • Dead Island Special Edition
  • Digital Strategy Map
  • In-game Unlockable Content
  • Severed Hand Bottle Opener / Fridge Magnet
  • Travel
  • Travel Suitcase Packaging
  • Zombie Hula Girl Bobble Figurine

The Rigor Mortis Edition will only be available for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Dead Island: Riptide is out in April on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Unless there have been HUGE improvements in optimization for the PC version of this game and its engine, I will wait for a Steam sale.

The first Dead Island ran extremely hot and shitty, regardless of what your PC specs were.

The console versions were no better. If you played in Co-Op it would break the saving mechanic where it would say its saving but in fact it was not. I had lost almost 10 hours on this game because of that glitch and me trying to see what the cause was.

I think I’m the only person that liked the first game. About runing shitty, all my games in my shitty PC are shitty, so yep, I didn’t care.

Enjoyed it, too. Very much.
Didn’t have major issues playing on 360 except some stuck zombies. But hey.
Anyhow, looking forward to the sequel.
