Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide are being given a visual and performance overhaul, as per the announcement last week.
Like last week's screenshots, those posted below show a more refined look to the zombies and atmosphere.
Those who purchase the game can expect higher quality textures, photorealistic lighting, physically based shading, anti-aliasing, improved game models, motion blur effects, the popular Power Fists Power-up, and more.
Dead Island Definitive Edition, and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition will also be made available separate as a digital download for PC, PS4 and Xbox One for $19.99 each.
The compilation and the two individual releases are scheduled for May 31.
