PlayStation All-Stars DLC includes Heavenly Sword and Wipeout mashup

An upcoming DLC pack for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will include a new stage in addition to previously announced characters. IGN reports the new environment is a mashup of Heavenly Sword and Wipeout, and has a couple of screens to prove it. We can but hope this means a hovercar is the next playable brawler. The DLC is expected in early 2013 and will be free for the first two weeks post-launch.

“We can but hope this means a hovercar is the next playable brawler.”

If so, Penny Arcade totally called it.

That’ll be nice for the dozen or so people that bought this game.

Another one that’ll be missing the Platinum awards I expect.

At least it will be free for two weeks. Kind seems the wrong way to do it tbh. I think most dlc should be free after 6 months(sorta like Bungie USED to do with Halo). Keeps the community caught up better when it comes to online content. Early adapters are your big DLC buyers anyway. But all of those folks will grab the dlc free in the first two weeks, it is the budget gamers that will get screwed. I know personaly I have seen games that I would enjoy(esp for a lower price) but even when the price goes down, there is the DLC hanging over my head. Often times it puts me off from buying a new game.

But, at least it is free for two weeks.
