Broken Sword Kickstarter falls short of Beneath a Steel Sky sequel

Broken Sword raised over $700,000 during its Kickstarter drive, but fans are disappointed not to have reached a popular stretch goal.

The Broken Sword Kickstarter closed on $771,561 with 14,032 backers. The total donated actually reached over $800,000 thanks to PayPal donations.

Amassing so much more than the project's $400,000 goal unlocked a number of rewards, including new locations and extras, but it was the $1 million goal most were hoping for - a sequel to Beneath a Steel Sky.

Nevertheless, Revolution Software seems greatly pleased with generous fan support. Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse is expected on PC and Mac around April next year.
