Yaiba – Keiji Inafune’s zombie-themed title gets a teaser trailer

Yaiba, Keiji Inafune’s zombie-themed “surprise” for TGS has been given an teaser trailer. It’s below, courtesy of Gematsu.

Inafune said while there are “countless zombie games out there,” fans kept telling him they wanted a “new Inafune zombie game.”

“I am flattered and grateful, for people associating me as a Zombie Lover,” he said. “For that, I must, answer to this expectation. This new concept for my game was born some time after becoming independent.

“I don’t want to spoil everything just yet, but I hope you will enjoy my new game that is loaded with stuff I love: zombies, ninjas, robots, and action. It’s called YAIBA. I hope you are excited. I know I am.”

More on the game will come out of TGS next weekend.

I was expecting something a bit more….silent, creepy, slower, non-cartoony…
but I certainly wasnt expecting a ninja.

Remember the time when Inafune, Kamiya, Mikami and more were part of Capcom… And Capcom made good games? Sigh.

Really looking forward to this. It looks rather great. I just hope they do a console port of Soul Sacrifice some day too.

I’ll buy anything with ninjas in it! Need more ninjas and dinosaurs in games.
