FIFA 13: Messi to replace Rooney on front cover – Report

FIFA 13 will be the first game in EA’s sports series that will not feature Manchester United star Wayne Rooney on the front cover in seven years, CVG sources have suggested.

Rooney’s contract with EA Sports is said to be expired, leaving Lionel Messi in the frame to feature on the FIFA 13 cover, as well as some other emerging talent.

EA is expected to make the announcement today.

I’m sure this has been known` for a while. Messi is on the cover in all the pre-order stuff in shops and online.

It’s more that Rooney’s not on it at all and that his contract is rumoured to be done. We may never see him on the cover again.
