Report – WB Games Seattle hit with a round of lay-offs

A source close to WB Games Seattle has confirmed to Joystiq a number of lay-offs have occurred in the studio. Developers which work out of the Seattle arm of Warner include Monolith, Snowblind Studios, and Surreal Software. The redundancies first came to light via a tweet from 3D Realms founder George Broussard. The only title known to be in the works on the Seattle-end is Lord of the Rings: Guardians of Middle-earth. A round of layoffs also hit the studio back in November.

I had a feeling that Monolith were gonna pay for Gotham City Impostors.

Let’s put GFWL in even more games eh?!

Your timing is off, DSB. Dev staff usually get canned just before the end or right at the end of a project. Now, what do WB Seattle currently have in the works? And what does that say about the state of that game?

Draw your own conclusions.
