GDC Europe organizers have announced a World of Tanks developer session from Wargaming.net, and mobile a postmortem on mobile title Diamond Dash. Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi will discuss in his session titled “World of Free-to-Play – Triple A by Wargaming.net,” how the F2P business model was “essential to the success” of World of Tanks, and how the model could eventually edge out boxed retail. As part of the Smartphone & Tablet Games Summit, Wooga lead product manager Christopher Parschat will reflect on how the firm brought to mobile in the session: “Postmortem: Bringing Diamond Dash to iOS.” GDC Europe takes place August 13-15 alongside gamescom in Cologne, Germany.
