During a Game Jam event this weekend in Japan, Capcom announced Monster Hunter 4 would release in Japan during spring 2013 on 3DS. Monsters such as Tigrex and Rathalos were confirmed as well. Hit the break to watch the trailer. Thanks, Siliconera.

This is going to sell an absolute shit ton…

How is Sony going to keep the Vita afloat when games like this are all going to the 3DS.

IMO Nintendo has just the right sweet spot with the 3DS. The graphics can be pretty amazing and the cost to develop games on it seems kind of reasonable.

Having just bought Mario Kart 7, I was pretty surprised with how good the game looked, not Vita standerd but easily good enough for a handhold game. And the 3D is pretty spectacular too…

I just can’t see Vita getting back on its feet once games like this start coming out for the 3DS.

To be honest I find the landscapes on MHF2 PSP better looking. Even the skybox looks very simple. I hope the best, that its just this level with the red stones and the blue sky and the awkward looking mountains in the background … *scratches head*

It’s a shame this isn’t for Vita, it would do well in Japan.
