The Amazing Spider-Man to grace PCs August 10

Further to Activision’s last minute dating of the console versions of The Amazing Spider-Man, StrategyInformer tells us the PC version is due to release on Steam on August 10. The Beenox-developed open world action game is out now in the US and hits Europe by the end of the week ahead of the film’s launch on July 3.

Thanks, Edo!

So happy about this. I mean… it looks completely amazing. And you just can’t have enough sandbox superhero games. I’m really kind of bored at this point by sandbox Boring Person games, but that’s why I want more of this sort of thing.

I mean, I’m having a blast with Lego Batman 2 right now. And the only reason I really liked Saints Row: The Third is because it came close to just out and out making you a superhero. Grand Theft Auto IV bored me silly, as do most open world games.

So… more of this! And more of this for the PC, too! Don’t leave us out.

@1 Looks to be solid judging by the reviews so far and I absolutely agree about GTA IV.

It would be nice to have Shattered Dimensions as well. It’s already been ported and it’s actually a really good port. I don’t know if their agreement with Walmart prevents that though. I think it’s worth considering since, I mean, the work has already been done so what’s left is to release and cash in?
