NFS: Most Wanted PC specs revealed

The PC requirements for Criterion’s upcoming racer Need for Speed: Most Wanted has been revealed. EA’s digital distribution service Origin has posted the requirements on the game’s official page.

Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHZ or Althon X2 2.7 GHz)

Graphics Card (AMD): DirectX 10.1 compatible with 512 MB RAM (ATI RADEON 3000, 4000, 5000 OR 6000 series, with ATI RADEON 3870 or higher performance)
Graphics Card (NVIDIA): DirectX 10.0 compatible with 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 OR 500 series with NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT or higher performance)

The Criterion racer will be releasing on October 30 in North America, and November 2 in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

@1 Really?Then you’ll sure going to love this,Dead Space 3 system requirements:
FOR WINDOWS XP (SP3), Vista (SP1) or WINDOWS 7
* 2.8 GHz processor or equivalent
* 1 GB RAM (XP), 2 GB RAM (Vista or Windows 7)
* NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or better (7300, 7600 GS, and 8500 are below minimum system requirements)
* ATI X1600 Pro or better (X1300, X1300 Pro and HD2400 are below minimum system requirements)
* 256MB Video Card and Shader Model 3.0 required* The latest version of DirectX 9.0c
* At least 10GB of hard drive space for installation, plus additional space for saved games.
* INTERNET CONNECTION, ONLINE AUTHENTICATION

@3 Yep,I was confused about that as well,but these guys apparently are sure that those really are DS3 system requirements http://www.dsogaming.com/news/dead-space-3-and-need-for-speed-most-wanted-pc-system-requirements/ .

No I relaize they don’t support XP for Most Wanted.
Not sure if that will be great optimization (just cause2) or lazy port

No support for XP probably means that the engine just doesn’t support DX9.0… Good riddance honestly. If you claim to be a PC gamer and still play with XP, you’re doing it wrong.
