Bleszinski "really excited" to introduce class-based MP into Gears: Judgment

The inclusion of class-based multiplayer with Gears of War: Judgment, a first for the series, has Epic design boss Cliff Bleszinski pumped, he's told VG247.

Bleszinski said at E3 he's "excited" to have class-themed multiplay in the series for the first time, but noted old-time players can still use old tactics in the new title.

"I'm really excited to finally have classes in Gears," he said, speaking as part of a preview for the People Can Fly prequel that will go live on the site shortly.

"In previous iterations, the best way to play Gears was to roll around and wall bounce and shotgun people in the face and that's cool, you can still do that.

"But I'm getting a little bit older, my reaction times aren't quite as good as the 19-year-olds out there and I'd like to be able to contribute to the sort of team-based games in different ways."

Gears of War: Judgment launches next year for Xbox 360. Watch for a preview from Alex Donaldson on the site soon.
