Metal Gear Rising demo to be included with Zone of the Enders HD Collection

Friday, 1st June 2012 07:01 GMT By Johnny Cullen

A pre-launch Metal Gear Rising demo will be included in the Zone of the Enders HD Collection, Konami has confirmed in its pre-E3 presser.

The details were dropped at the end of a, quite frankly, very funny Mega 64 video parodying Rising.

For those not buying the HD Collection, the demo will get a separate release later in the year on PSN and XBL.

This isn’t the first time this has happened between Metal Gear and ZoE. With the release of the original Zone of the Enders in 2001, a demo for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was included.

Zone of the Enders HD Collection launches this autumn for PS3 and 360, featuring both Zone of the Enders 1 and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. A Vita version is in the works.

Metal Gear Rising was announced for an early 2013 launch earlier this morning on PS3 and 360.

The Mega 64 video is above.

So excited about ZoE HD, so scared about Rising… Anyway, this is a good year for gaming, such a good year and all the pain is gone, all the pain will be gone while we sit and destroy some mechs, see Leon S. Kennedy running around some creepy place and enjoy some upskirts (Suda).

This reminds me of when they packaged the MGS2 demo in ZOE on PS2. I bought it just for the demo and never did play ZOE. Don’t think MGR has the same pull to make me do that again though.

like it or not…people who loved ZoE and others who wanted to play it back in the day but couldn’t (like me) are already in for a treat!
