Titan Quest developers hope to Kickstart Grim Dawn

The team behind popular multiplayer action RPG Titan Quest have a new project on the go, and hope you’ll throw a few dollars in the hat.

Grim Dawn has been in the works for some time and already has a significant community of backers, which makes the Kickstarter a little complicated; players who have already purchased keys pledge the amount needed to upgrade to a specific reward tier.

Happily, for the rest of us, it’s just a matter of picking a reward and plonking down the cash.

Grim Dawn, for those not in the know, is an open-world action RPG from Crate Entertainment. It will be DRM free, support modding, has customisable progression and character building, and is all kinds of keen on co-operative multiplayer with full LAN support in addition to online matchmaking.

The project is asking for $280,000 and has already raised over $60,000 with a full month remaining. It’s expected to ship in August 2013. Check out the pitch below and fork over your dollars here.

Thanks, IGN.

Titan Quest > then what I have played thus far of Diablo III.

If they do something with the level of customization and exploration and freedom of TQ, I would buy it day one.

Heh… I haven’t bothered giving to any KS-projects but this game might change that…
