Command & Conquer tank designs accused of looking similar to those in Warhammer 40K

EA has responded to the accusation that tank designs from Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K are present in the Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances beta.

According to Reddit users Bro-jangles and corevirus, there are similarities between the game’s “Bombard tanks and the Ork Bonecruncha and Imperial Guard Baneblade.”

When asked for comment by Gamespot, an EA representative said the were “looking into this,” and would get “get back” with them on it.

You can look at the comparison shots through the links, where it is explained a bit better.

“Accused” and “similar,” my ass! The two I saw were almost exactly the same.

Wow, the Baneblade one is BEYOND similar. It has the EXACT same 3D Model. I’m with #1 here. This is plane theft.

The title of this article is wrong – EA didn’t respond to the accusations yet. And they probably never will.

Maybe they will change their art/models, but they will not really respond to any accusations.

Im guessing that they’ll have to respond in one way or another because if theres one thing that Games Workshop love to do its sue.

@3 Yes, they did respond to said accusation by stating they would “look into the matter”. And now they have issued an explanation: http://www.vg247.com/2012/04/13/ea-accidental-exposure-of-concept-art-blamed-for-similarities-between-cc-tank-and-warhammer-40k/
