DailyMotion’s gone live with a video showing art for the Mass Effect Anime for the first time, with maker Funimation detailing bits of the story and how main character James Vega fits into things. Get it below. It also talks about the Dragon Age anime coming to DVD and Blu-ray in May.

The Mass Effect anime’s due to launch this autumn. Thanks, Kotaku.

I never understood why they do that. Take the sourcematerial and hire a completely different art-team. I mean just look at that Digimon! Is that supposed to be a Krogan?

@2: agreed, I think an anime based around Garrus would just be epic. Wrex or Grunt as well although I would prefer Garrus, that Turian is just all-round awesome.

Hope mass effect stays as a anime, that dragon age cgi-anime looks god awful, any cgi-anime is god awful.
