Quick quotes: Indie devs should start with PC, says Bleszinski

“Xbox Live and PSN, skip both of them because you’re at Sony or Microsoft’s will as to what’s on the dashboard. iOS, maybe, but you have to have Apple’s approval, there’s too much piracy on Android, no one has a Windows phone, Kickstarter’s wonderful, go Tim Schafer. I would go with the PC.” – Epic design boss Cliff Bleszinski, speaking at a GDC session as quoted by Kotaku.

All he is saying is ‘use our game engine’. Coming from a tit whose studio doesnt even make PC games, makes me laugh.

Maybe that’s the reason why most indie devs work for PC? Didn’t take you too long to point out the obvious, good job, Mr. Bleszinski.

Wrong

A huge part of the indie market works towards iOS/Android and it’s becoming increasingly larger.
PC however is great as well, the problem being finding a way to publish your game if you’re new to the indie market.
I don’t get why he’s telling people to ignore Xbox, PS3 makes sense but the Xbox Indie market is awesome and it should not be overlooked.
