NPD – Asura’s Wrath moved 36,000 copies, Syndicate 34,000 copies in February

NPD has told Joystiq that Asura’s Wrath moved 36,000 copies in the US during its first week in the US, and EA’s Syndicate was only 2,000 copies short matching those figures with 34,000 copies sold during February. Both games launched on February 21 in the US, giving each eight days before sales were tallied.

34 total copies sold for Syndicate on all platforms?
for US only?

because the 34k sounds weak:/

That does kind of suck, I was expecting a bit more from Asura’s Wrath. I definitely enjoyed the demo, a different kind of gameplay for sure.

Bummer about Asura’s. We need more games-movie-anime hybrid titles like than and less military shooters.

Are these numbers good or bad? They *sound* weak, but it would be cool to have some context here.

Those numbers are absolutely horrible. You won’t get a sequel from those numbers. But that was just within the first week so they will get larger over a period of time assuming the games are good.
