Firefall players to push content expansion

In Red 5's unusual MMO shooter Firefall, players have a chance to decide which direction the world will expand in.

According to the latest dev diary, players begin on a map of ten square miles, with about one quarter of it playable, and the rest covered over by something called the "melding". In the exposed area, they can adventure, gather resources, craft, and fight against invasions - but by building special structures, players can push back the melding, revealing more explorable territory. Red5 hopes to eventually expose an entire planet's worth of new content, entirely driven by player actions.
