Command & Conquer Alliances outed by domain

Sunday, 4th December 2011 22:41 GMT By Brenna Hillier

EA has made a number of domain registrations for an unrevealed title, Command & Conquer Alliances. Oh, hello VGAs, are you pertinent to this discussion?

First spotted by Fusible, the list of 15 domain names are all Command & Conquer related.

The Whois records reveal all were made by Corporate Domains on December 2, but list EA in two contact fields.

The domain registrations fall suspiciously close to this week’s VGAs on December 10, at which EA BioWare is set to reveal a new game with a distinctly warlike aesthetic. Victory Games, a new studio established to develop for the Command & Conquer series, is rumoured to be attached to the EA BioWare label.

The Command & Conquer series has spawned six core games plus eight expansions and spin-offs since inception in 1995, and is considered one of the most influential and important RTS franchises. Its alternate history setting, bombastic characters, and cheesy cinematics have earned it a cult following as much as its solid gameplay.

See the full list of domains below.

Thanks, Joe.

Lets hope they know what they’re doing this time. I’m still in denial of the existence of CnC 4…

C&C for me is dead and EA is probably going to release C&C game for consoles where corridors and regeneration is an obvious way for 9.5-10 scores.

C&C has been released for the consoles for many years ;) The first one i tried on the PlayStation was Red Alert, and the latest i tried on xbox was CNC 3. But they are RTS games, they don’t belong there, i’ve got no idea what score the games got on the consoles though.

C&C1 was great when Westwood studios developed it and god how bad it was playing with a controller on the Ps1. I remember playing that and Warcraft II on PS1.

CNC3 was ok… Red alert 3 that was developed by EA Los Angeles and it was Not a port for consoles… was average at best.

C&C4 was abysmal and after that i don’t care anymore.

What they need is CNC Renegade on consoles.

The single player was good and the online, omg, best online in ages. Way before Battlefield, you had huge maps where you can run round as infantry or get in a vehicle, even planes and this was almost 10yrs ago.

Destroying the base in FPS style was awesome, having to protect your base as well.
If they release any CNC games on console it has to be the FPS ones redone in HD, that and get Redalert version.

Renegade was released in 2002, and BF1942 was released in 2002 ;)
