Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai has new boats, guns

Sega’s announced a standalone expansion pack, titled Fall of the Samurai, for Total War: Shogun 2. It’s to include six new playable clans who will need to “deal with” the foreign powers of America, Britain and France, as well as fighting against domestic factions.

The expansion promises to bring an improved campaign map. New building and technology trees, including railways and naval bombardments, will also feature. It’ll have ten new ship types, such as Ironclad class battleships and torpedo boats.

Fall of the Samurai will also come with 30 new units for armies, including the infamous Gatling gun.

The expansion is slated for a March 2012 release, and is being billed as a “huge upgrade” to the original game.

Thanks. Improved campaign map grabbed my attention here because currently its too restrictive. And no real in game footage in this video, which reminds me of watching an episode of ‘Monkey’!

I havent touched this game since May :(

Technically they did the same with Empire/Napoleon both of which I simply loved and still play to this very day. Empire is just such a vast game, something Shogun 2 needs to take a look at.

@3 Usually that’s just another word for “We decided to add 20 euro to the pricetag”.
