EA to give BF3 PS3 players Battlefield 1943 – details
EA’s confirmed it will give PS3 Battlefield 3 players a copy of Battlefield 1943 after all, after the digital title failed to appear as promised at its bigger brother’s launch.

A class action lawsuit commenced in the wake of what was thought to be a reneged deal.
It’s not quite so reneged now: EA’s to start offering 1943 for those who’ve activated their BF3 online pass this weekend, with European players getting it first.
It’ll then open it up to the US on December 10. Japan will go last on December 17.
EA’s said there’s been “some misunderstandings” over the affair.
All’s well. There’s instructions on how to get your code here.

@4 I can forgive your English, but not your ignorance.
Battlefield 1943 is an already released game (July 8 2009, on Xbox Live, July 9 2009, on PSN) that EA promised to include ON DISC on the PS3 version of Battlefield 3, until the new XBLA publishing policy hampered them by imposing PARITY OF ON-DISC CONTENT on multiplatform games, or else Microsoft could (and would gladly) refuse to certify the game for Xbox 360 release.
This is Microsoft’s way to “protect” their customers from having the worst multiplatform experience by not allowing developers to put more stuff in the PS3 version of their games, unless they make it DLC.

I think they tried to leave it out once they realized it would show players unfamiliar with Battlefield exactly what Battlefield was before they surprise butt-sexed it for the sake of competing with Modern Warfail.

@11, hardly exactly.
3 kits, extremely limited weapon and vehicle selection. Not “excactly” old school Battlefield.
