Never enjoyed the previous Resident Evil games, never had a problem with it’s universe, I didn’t gag at the movies (I haven’t seen them all, likely some bad ones), the problem has always been the mechanics for me, I accepted them in the PSOne era with Dino Crisis but grow up Capcom, don’t keep things identical for nostalgia’s sake.

Hopefully this spin-off is critically & commercially successful, from what I’ve seen it looks pretty average but assuming it achieves some level of success, it could encourage Capcom to think outside (albeit right up against) the box.

Yeah I liked RE 5 and didn’t mind the mechanics but man is it a lot more difficult playing the RE 4 with even more archaic controls after I just bought from GoD on XBL…I’m glad Racoon City will actually have normal shooter controls and movement while shooting, so its definitely an interesting approach for a spinoff to take imo, and I think it could be cool…I agree w/ @2 though it does kind of look mediocre

I’m assuming this beta is going to be open though? Since there was no indication how to join if its closed
