Space Marine co-op mode DLC available now

A shiny new trailer shows off Exterminatus mode, the Horde-like co-op mode available as free DLC for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

The DLC is reportedly already live for PC and PlayStation 3 and will arrive on Xbox Live shortly.

If you want to jump right in, you’ll be pleased to learn that all your progress from competitive multiplayer will carry over.

THQ announced the post-launch DLC just before the game’s release; until then, it had kept quiet on the possibility of co-op play.

Thanks, gamesradar.

It’s definitely live on PS3, I picked it up yesterday. It’s also not really DLC, as such; you don’t have to go to the PSN store and download it, it’s just part of a non-optional automatic patch when you fire up the game.

It is pretty fun, though. Co-operative defensive play against waves and waves of xenos… this is the Space Marine multiplayer I always wanted. Very entertaining, although I’m a little disappointed that it doesn’t count towards weapon challenge progress.
