Heroes and Generals announced, persistent WW2 FPS strategy game

Wednesday, 12th October 2011 17:30 GMT By Andrew Groen

Reto-Moto has announced their new – and very interesting – World War 2 shooter/strategy game. It’s one of the most ambitious games we’ve recently seen and it’s all playable in a web browser. You can check out the introduction video below, complete with some gameplay scenes. We’re not exactly sure how the game will play out, but we’re exceedingly intrigued by the concept of a persistent online WW2-era world with meta-map strategy combined with battlefield shooter tactics.

Thanks, Gaming Blend!

I loved pretty much everything I heard about this, until the words “All playable in web browser”.

    D’OKAY, SOUNDS GREAT.

I wouldn’t mind a WW2 Planetside, and I’d certainly love for a company like Reto-Moto to succeed, but the level of ambition sounds a bit too much like Interstellar Marines.
