This is definitely something you should miss at your own peril now.

Following the lifting of the review embargo last night, the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection has already hit a solid 90 on MetaCritic.

“Epic battles and offering extraordinary, touching and surprising developing empathy, Shadow of the Colossus and ICO have not lost their souls in spite of their past generation. And the next generation should not change that.”

The Gametrailers review talked about how the controls weren’t tightened up, but I bet if they were tightened up, the review would’ve talked about how it wasn’t staying true to the original!

As long as the conversions aren’t busted in any way I see no reason why this shouldn’t get 10s across the board. So, so, so fucking good.

Game of the year.
Every year.
The steady 60 frames a second in Shadow of the Colossus makes this worth buying alone. And this is one game whose visual artistry benefits from the increased resolution and draw distance.
Good art design is timeless.

I never played Ico, but Shadow of the Colossus was one of the few games I never beat, not because it was too hard, but because I wanted to savor it. It’s not my favorite game of all time, but it was one of the most stunning. I cannot wait for the 27th.

I hope they get released on PSN -instant buy- I already have the two on PS2 but I would’t miss the opportunity to play them in HD and 3D..
