Trion Worlds is celebrating RIFT’s half-birthday August 25-31, and during this time, new and returning players can play the game for free.

This weekend, you can enjoy access to all zones and levels, quests, new dungeons, and PvP Warfronts.

Current subscribers are also getting bonuses to XP, Prestige, and more.

That’s not all though, Trion has also put the game on sale for $4.99 from now until September 2, and the Digital Collector’s Edition is also 50 percent off.

Those who subscribe during this time, will also receive a special gift after the festivities conclude.

I wonder if TOR’s September beta and approaching release is the catalyst here.

I’m going to give this a try and see if it’s really worth all the hype.

Does the game still have its momentum, or has it started slowing down yet?

Its a very busy game. I was in for a few months but pvp is a nightmare. The entire ranked system is so unbalanced.

The game is a WoW clone in almost every single way but the random rifts are a lot of fun, together with the high end loot(great if you are part of a guild).

And SWTWoW has nothing to do with this offer. They often have free trials(thats how I started). Rift has a strong player base and I cant see EA’s WoW clone doing any damage here

    Suckee suckee, fai dollah?

    Had to be done.

Probably worth noting that it doesn’t come with any gametime if you take the 5 dollar thing, so it’s the same as a 15 dollar copy of WoW.

Well TOR’s beta is only for those that preordered the game so those that have already preorder already have the intent to buy the game. RIFT, if anything will just be a MMO that those players play while they wait. Rift has nothing unique to offer the players everything it has are things that worked in other MMOS.
