WWE 12 gets teaser, claims to be “Bigger, Badder , Better”

Tuesday, 31st May 2011 17:58 GMT By Debabrata Nath

The first teaser trailer for WWE 12 has made its way to YouTube. The most notable thing about this is that it has shed its traditional “Raw Vs Smackdown” title.

The teaser shows the journey of WWE superstar Randy Orton as he climbs up the WWE ladder of wrestlers and ends with the tagline about the game being “Bigger, Badder, Better.” That’s it really.

IGN, however, has a preview of the game up, which provides a bit more information on the wrestling game.

According to the site, the game not only includes a new animation system and blending methods, but THQ added something called “Predator Technology” which allows for much more fluid movements in the game. This will make it easier to jump up off the mat after getting slammed, and provide players with a better window of opportunity to slap their opponent around before getting slammed again.

The preview goes on to say that THQ basically ripped the series apart and put it back together again, leaving things fans didn’t like too well in the dustbin.

Read up on it through the link above and watch the video below.

WWE ’12 will be available in North America on November 22 and in the UK on November 25.

Sounds interesting. This game needs a restart since ehm… I’d say since SvR2k7 :D

Unless they say it’s gonna be M rated, I’m not interested. Glad to see this is an overhaul though. SvR 2006 was decent but after that they just kept releasing the same game over and over again with minimal improvements.

Call me when there’s a PC version and a new and impressive game engine that actually plays good, has physix and a career mode worthy of my time.

Seeing as it remains on a 12-month development cycle, I fear that their promises of a new beginning and ‘ripping the series apart’, may ring quite hollow indeed :/
