Duke Nukem Forever is now available for pre-purchase on Steam, and if you act fast you’ll snag a 10% discount in the process.

The Duke’s grand return, originally scheduled for this month, was pushed back into June, with development head Randy Pitchford explaining the delay was necessary to add a final layer of polish to the game.

One thing we’re still not sure about however is the early access demo that we’ve been consistently promised. Hopefully that will happen soon, with the game just a few weeks away – otherwise Gearbox may have to find another way of compensating gamers who picked up a copy of Borderlands simply for the early access.

Remember, if you do choose to grab the PC version of DNF on Steam, you’ll also get integrated access to the Steamworks suite, including cloud saving, achievements and the ever-present auto-updates.

It should be noted that if you buy DNF retail, you will also have to activate it on steam. Atleast according to the system specs on http://www.gearboxity.com/content/view/637/33/

In all that text written with a low font, it states that “Initial installation requires one-time internet connection for Steam authentication”
