Hector: Telltale’s next episodic adventure lands April 27

Thursday, 21st April 2011 17:05 GMT By Stace Harman

Witty iOS crime caper, Hector: Badge of Carnage is on its way to bigger screens, with Episode 1 – We Negotiate with Terrorists, landing on PC, Mac and iPad next Wednesday April 27.

The game is an enhanced port of the iOS adventure that was released back in May 2010 by Northern Irish developer Straandlooper. Telltale are working with the developer to bring episodes two and three to all of these platforms too.

The game, which has been described in a press release as “a point & click adventure game with a wicked sense of humour (think Leisure Suit Larry on overdrive),” can be pre-ordered via Telltale’s website, doing so will net you a free copy of Puzzle Agent.

Head to Shack News for a peek of Hector in action.

It looks great, and I’ll be willing to buy it if it turns up on Steam.

Unfortunately I found, after moving to my uni digs, I couldn’t access the Telltale games I had bought from their website, because my university connection has some port problems that block Telltale’s drm.

Basically I’d end up at the ‘chose an episode’ screen and it would see me as offline. I couldn’t select an episode, and I would be asked for an ‘offline’ code.
