Could We Have Gotten A Second Jade Empire Game?

A former BioWare employee has claimed that Jade Empire 2 did exist - and that he worked on the game between 2006 and 2007.

Rafael Brown worked at the developer for thirteen months over that period, which slots in before the release of Mass Effect or Dragon Age: Origins, and the company's acquisition by EA.

Eurogamer noticed that Brown, now a project lead at id Software, has updated his LinkedIn page to include a list of unreleased games he has contributed to. That is where the Jade Empire sequel pops up, alongside mentions of Gun 2 and Thunder Rally, as well as True Crime 3 and 4.

Unfortunately, mentioning the titles is about all he does - there's no mention of how far along any of the games were before they were axed. But, even if Jade Empire 2 was only a name and a handful of sketches on a drawing board, at least there is some sort of 'proof' now that the game was actually real, once upon a time.
