Google survey reveals gaming is the number one use for tablets
Of 1400 US tablet users polled, 84% use the sleek touch screen devices for games, 43% spend more time with their tablet than on their home PC. No word on what percentage spend more time with their tablet than they do with their family, friends and partners.

That so many tablet owners play games on their devices reflects predictions by media research firm Screen Digest, who believe tablet computers will be one of the factors that prevent the 3DS from selling as many units as its predecessors.
The survey, conducted by Google AdMob, contained plenty of other numbers too:
78% of tablet owners polled said they use it to searching for information. How much of that ‘information’ was about ‘naked humans’ was not specified.
74% send emails. Possibly about naked humans.
61% of users read news on their devices. “Hot naked humans in your area”.
and 51% indulge in music and video content. Presumably naked humans, dancing.
The full survey results, with fewer references to naked humans, can be found here.
Thanks, Destructoid.

Huh, nice tidbit of information there. New kind of handheld, eh.
Anyway, there’s also a lot of presumptions about naked humans in there. XD

So the obvious next way to go is to start getting PlayStation Certified tablets. Interested to see what Sony or Sony Ericsson might bring to the table. I say Sony or Sony Ericsson because it’s kind of hard to tell where tablets fall into, be cool if they both released some though.
