DC Comics has announced a six-part comic series of Batman: Arkham City that’ll bridge the gap between Arkham Asylum and the second game.

The first and second parts of the series will begin to go out in May. The comics will be written by Paul Dini, who’s written Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Concept artist of Arkham City Carlos D’anda will draw the comics.

The comics will be available in paper and digitally day-and-date for $2.99.

There’s more details about the series here.

Batman: Arkham City releases this fall for PS3, 360 and PC.

Pure logic states that if there are six issues, bridging the story between Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and there will be two issues in May, that leaves the next 5 months for 5 issues.

Meaning, the game comes out in late August [like AA in 2009] or early October.
