Tekken Tag Tournament gets new playable wrestler character, sees characters return

Famitu’s gone into detail mode over Tekken Tag Tournmaent 2, introducing a new Mexican-character wrestler known as JC.
She apparently uses an acrobatic form of wrestling that makes full use of her body.
Also announced in the mag is the return of Heihachi Mishima, Jin Kazama, Jinpachi Mishima, Asuka Kazama, Martial Law, and Miguel.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was announced at TGS last year. It’s due for release this summer in arcade. No console version has been confirmed yet.
Thanks, Andriasang.

Oh and also: “Also announced in the mag is the return of Heihachi Mishima, Jin Kazama, Jinpachi Mishima, Aauka Kazama, Martial Law, and Miguel.”
It is supposed to be Asuka Kazama.

JC? What kind of name is that. What loser would name someone JC. Anybody with a stupid name like that deserves to walk in humiliation for the rest of their life….even if they have those same initials they need to….Oh hi Johnny Cullen
But serious J.LO would be a better name for fucks sake
But super seriously on a scale of 1 to 10 this game is a 100 Fucking can’t wait Tekken Tag was one of my favorite and first PS2 games of all time.

Cool.
They can release a game like this arcade, but not NBA Jam.
Fuck i hate the execs behind NBA Jams disc release.
**EDIT**
My bad, i saw “summer arcade” and thought summer of arcade XBLA. I’m sure it’ll come to consoles, why wouldn’t it..

Hope this has a console version and it’s a LOT better than Tekken 6. Anyway, if it doesn’t come out for console, fine… Tekken 7 for 2013 equivalent to Tekken 5 for PS2, please.

Not interested at all if it’s not the same like the original TTT in HD.

One of the weaker fighting game franchises, but it’s still a decent game, so I look forward to playing this when it comes out.
If people actually think this isn’t going to end up on consoles pretty soon after it’s arcade release, they’re crazy.

If people think this is one of the weaker fighting franchise then I guess they wasted a shit load of money on an arcade stick and are delusional to believe street fighter is better.

@13 Funny, considering it’s a well established fact amongst the vast majority of people who play the game in any competitive or professional genre that yes, indeed, Street Fighter (II, III Alpha *and* IV) are better games than the Tekken series.
Soul Calibur is better (up to 2) anyway. Dead or Alive is better. And Virtua Fighter trumps every last one of them for pure depth and technical polish.
“HerpderpStreetFightersuckscauseIdon’tunderstandbasic
fightinggamemechanicslikeframedata” does not a valid argument make.

Speak the truth tea. Honestly I prefer, soul cal tekken then. Street fighter. That’s just comparing the. Immediates.
There isn’t a damn thing deep about ssf4 or sf4. Granted I have fun in it, but the possibilities are damn near endless in tekken and. Soul.
You don’t have to feel restricted to the same. Principles and can come off the line anytime. I can’t wait for ttt2, and I like the bounce system its grown on me. So to see even deeper combos with multiple characters beats sf all day

@16 Learning combos isn’t deep. Tekken 6 did improve on 5 by adding the bound mechanic, adding a little more depth to combos beyond arbitrarily remembering a selection of buttons, but it’s not much.
It’s wake-up game is a mess. Dodging is still purely implemented. Numerous character are still severely overpowered, although they’re certainly more balanced overall than in Tekken 5.
I’m not saying Tekken is a bad game. I’m saying it’s one of the weaker fighting games.
@17 Yes I do. Doesn’t change the fact that the underlying mechanics are weak. It has nothing on the depth of SSFIV or, more importantly, Virtua Fighter, which is the pinnacle of the genre.
Someone is going to have to make a decent argument as to why Tekken is the better game, or I’m simply going to chalk preferences up to ignorance.
*Why* is Tekken better?
What makes Street Fighter worse exactly?

First off tekken offers way more diversity the sf does. And, the pure arrogance your boasting on the knowledge of the fighting genre is actually funny. In all fairness neither tekken and street fighter can truely be compared in terms of mechanics because they use completely different tools. Tekken being 3d and sf being 2d, so if you really are comparing the too outside of preference your an idiot.
Sf has a very linear system although robust for a 2d it is very linear in the mix ups. And, frame data rules the game. Balance in sf? That’s a hilarious statement seeing how 1 character can own all others. Tekken doesn’t have that issue in fact the game incourages you to play with all characters and not just a few. In tekken, you can play in various manors in sf you can play only to your characters strengths.
Now, the games will truely be compareable once the crossovers hit. But even then you can only compare characters in that engine not the games offerings. It makes more since to compare tekken to virtual fighter then street fighter. And, if I was to compare tekken to any sf it would be the EX series which should capcom knows nothing about 3d fighters.
So, in my preference tekken is superior because it offers more possibilities. And I don’t like the knock down game of sf, its either crossover overhead or low. In tekken a knock down is where the fun begins. Off the bounce you get pretty much the same options in sf but you can take it 2 the wall for some serious wall rape. In sf only 2 or three characters can use the wall rape tactic. Gouken, el fuerte, and that’s about all I can think of off the top of my head.
Everyone in tekken wall rapes some worse then others.

Lex, i still play SSF4 here and there but you ait on when i am. But to be honest, i havent been playing video games much at all lately. Ive been extremely busy with work, art, art-work
lol.
But yeah, i have Tekken 6 and have only played it maybe 5hrs. We can go at it. Im not as good as i used to be though, havent played since 2 months after Tekken 5 released.
BTW, wall rape isnt a very good arguement man. I still think SF4 offers more. Feels far more fluid. Not fond of the RAG DOLL physics of Tekken either.

I have tekken 5 dark resurrection on my ps3 to so we can go back to that if you have it.lol and I still like tekken 6 for what it is and as apart of the tekken franchise the worst one to me was tekken 4. But, tekken 6 I honestly don’t care for on the consoles as much as I do for the psp. I honestly feel that namco tried to much flash with the console version.
They pretty much tweaked tekken blr and gave a fuck ton more flashy gimmicks. I wish they would let me turn the character display off before a fight. I don’t care how he looks outside the fight. The only complaints I think most people had given up in the beginning because it was to much going on.
Actually my sf head friends gave up on tekken no more then a month after release when they didn’t know what to do against a masher. They really gave up when they didn’t know how to stop my combos and juggles. But, I told them I’m a dedicated tekken fan been playing since 1 and even had psp dark resurrection before 6 released and knew what they were starting to implement into 6. Like how you can get ready for the new features soul 5 will have by playing broken destiny

You saw how rusty i was at SF4 and im even worse at Tekken right now ( I only beat you 1 full match and only bested you maybe 8/20 rounds so expect Tekken to be like me winning 1/30 matches). but for sure, weekends will prolly be best. I go to bed early during the week(For my 3yr old daghter and plus i work at 4am.)

SF x Tekken game = a 100 moveset tekken character down to 15 moveset just to fit in the street fighter universe. SF sucks, capcom sucks, and gets extra money for dlcs already in your disc.
