Japanese software charts Nov. 22-28: Gran Turismo 5 moves over 430K units

Gran Turismo 5 debuted last week in Japan, and according to the Media Create figures for November 22- 28, it was a good week for Polyphony Digital and Sony.
Debuting at number, as expected, the racer moved 430,707 units its first week on sale. The game was sold in bundle form as well with a blue PS3, and the racer finally hitting the market also gave PS3 consoles a double boost in sales over last week.
Pokemon Black and White was still holding on in the top five, moving 43,227 units for a LtD total of 4,494,106.

You know the two weeks before MHP3 releases the PSP’s already selling high thanks to new colours. It’s a shame for Dangan Ronmpa but next week MHP3 is probably going to cause PSP sales in 6 figures considering people’s desire for this game.
@2 There’s no official numbers except for Italy (or was it Spain) I believe where I can’t find the press report but Sony did announce it as a high seller.
As for Vgchartz their numbers are estimates always with a +/-(5 to 20)% deviation. If their deviations were better they’d have more people agreeing with them. It’s not fair on them to say they are full of crap.
We should take it for what it is, i.e. data estimation based on retail orders rather than a sales data, considering companies do use their data for their slides.
