Team17 has released screens and a trailer for its upcoming Wii release Worms: Battle Islands.

The game contains 30 single-player campaign missions, 30 puzzle challenges, 40 different weapons and five multiplayer modes, all playable online. You can also create your own weapons via the game’s weapon factory.

Formerly a WiiWare title, it will instead be a full retail release, and information on the PSP version is expected soon.

Worms: Battle Islands is out in the US on November 23 and is to be published by THQ Partners. A date for Europe is still pending.

Check out a fact sheet for the game over on GoNintendo, screens over on IGN, and the trailer posted below, courtesy of Evil Avatar.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

Holy shit, I had no idea this was even in development! That’s one of my son’s Christmas presents sorted, then…. providing the PSP version’s going to be out in a timely fashion. Seems better suited to handheld play.
