EA has put out a new Medal of Honor video, showcasing the single-player portion of the game.

Watch it below.

The video also shows you how to take out your enemies at a distance, and it looks rather awesome.

Medal of Honor is out October 12 in the US and October 15 in Europe for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

An SFOD-D operator telling his squadmates what formation to use? That’s cute :P

Still, it looks pretty good. They might’ve ripped off that headshot effect from MW, but it still looks sweet as hell.

I’m impressed by singleplayer campaign. Probably the best FPS singleplayer campaign this year, i hope so…

Everything I’ve seen about the single player campaign looks really, really good. I’ll admit, I’ve had BF:BC2 for a long time and never once played the single player portion but this looks like something I might have to play the single player on!

Meh! How can gamers be impressed from this clip? Dumb AI, lame textures, nothing new. Same old, same old, folks. Well, I guess its not tagged with Halo and its a war game, that’s why.

@5 Unreal engine 3 textures are barely this gen, but they are not that bad. AI? There were nothing shown with AI.

    you should try it.

@5 It’s not impressive on it’s own at all, but people who’ve played the beta know how it’s wired, and coupled with the few sweet clips of (seemingly) scripted gameplay that they’ve shown, I think it’s definitely one to watch.

The whole situation in that video is pretty retarded, but the effects and the graphics are good.

Don’t know what people are complaining about, I think it looks great! The MP beta may not be great, but I think Danger Close will deliver

yeah cause everyone knows delta force are brainless mute morons that run around the battlefield like chicken with their heads cutoff and without real purpose or regard for ranks.

Then then again this guys are supposed to be ‘Joint Special Operations Command’ which upgrade guys from 4 different military branches one of which is delta and apparently 2 of the thing they learn is speaking and the value of a chain of command.

or then again this is just a video game and it should have some kind of instructions for people that haven’t had military training an/or have ears

    : )

@9 Danger Close have referred to them as tier one, which would mean either Delta Force or Seal Team Six. While the tiers are fully unofficial, everybody else is referred to as second tier.

They certainly aren’t brainless, mute morons, but they certainly don’t waste time on inane chatter like picking a formation, and they certainly don’t need to be told how to move. These people train most of the year if they aren’t in the field, exactly so they know these drills without having to think, and don’t require the same degree of communication in the field, as regular soldiers.

That chatter is only there because that’s what they do in Michael Bay movies.

Also, special forces don’t care much for the “value” of chain of command. Teamleaders are not picked for seniority or rank. The best guy for the job, gets the job, and at least in most SAS-styled units (like SFOD-D) the teamleader has final say on operational matters. A superior is not allowed, by unspoken law, to change the plan.

now go back and read my last paragraph again and lighten up

ps. you seem to know many things about the special forces, I just hope you know that doesn’t make you special.

@poorwretch, Relax, he gets all aggressive when EA 1st party makes awesome products because he is a Call Of Duty fanboy.

Ever since he found that 5 year old stack of military mags, he’s been our resident expert in misinformation.
Usually says stuff with enough conviction to make it sound good, but when checked into…. well, you know the type.
Or he don’t understand that it is just an FPS Game, not ArmA or something.

@11 It doesn’t make me special, it just makes me a war nerd. I don’t mean any offence, it’s just that what you were saying was flat wrong, and I enterpreted that as a little arrogant.

    Sorry about that.

@12 OMG prooflinks! Dumbass. By all means, feel free to dispute anything you might find. Sooner or later you really have to get lucky. It might take some reading though, and it’s pretty obvious that you aren’t very good at that :P

By the by, the only thing realistic about MW2 was the name of the taskforce. They even have an F-15 flying at the same speed as a littlebird in the prison scene. I had a good laugh at that.

ArmA is about as realistic as Medal of Honor though. Bohemia said themselves they didn’t really care when they were making that game.
