Enslaved goes Gold, confirms Namco

enslaved

Namco’s announced tonight Enslaved: Odyssey to the West has gone Gold, meaning it will now be pressed onto discs and released next month.

The Ninja Theory title was announced in an issue of Game Informer last year after its project announcement at gamescom last year.

Namco has been letting fans come to its offices in London this week to play the game, which is a futuristic version of the old Chinese tale Journey to the West.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West launches on October 8 in the UK for PS3 and 360.

Hoping the demo is decent. This looks good and it’s been in every mag for since it’s announcement. Let’s hope it’s good.

I’m looking forward to this one. It’s released on the same day as Lord of the Shadow, right? Both games are action adventures…reminds me of the ‘clash’ between Prototype and Infamous.

@3 – didnt realise that

tho tbh this game in all liklihood WILL flop at sales and if it is on the same day as a castlevania game all the more reason =/

This definitely seems like the game to by out of the two. Lords of Shadow looks good, but the more I see of Enslaved the more I think it’s going to absolutely excel in story, character, setting and variety.

Check out the new Gametrailers video preview: (EDIT – Error preventing me from posting an HTML link, seek the video out!).

Looks great! When’s the demo?
