Sony doesn’t want developers to “force” Move on anyone

Move-4

Sony has said that it doesn’t want developers to “force” Move on games where it doesn’t “make sense”.

Speaking with CVG, SCEE senior researcher and EyeToy creator, Richard Marks said this is something Sony will work diligently on with developers.

“I don’t want that to happen. I love the Move but it’s not the only controller on our platform,” he said. “We have a great controller already – the DualShock – and some experiences are supposed to be used with that.

“A new set of experiences that use more special input – that’s what’s good for the Move. So I think our first-party will always continue to court both controllers.”

He finally added that he didn’t “want to see somebody just force the Move on to a game that it doesn’t make sense for.”

Move was one of the main talking points of Sony’s E3 conference.

It’s out this September.

@2 no – Sony clearly did want developers to force that into games…

Glad to here this time they see being fit for purpose is a lot better than crap for purpose

I just want a Move/Sub-controller bundle at a reasonable price as the current separate pricing is too high IMHO.

Sony should totally give 1months free Playstation Plus with every Move bundle they sell :) That way they are selling the Playstation Moves and promoting the Playstation Plus :D
