PS3 Slim with 40nm RSX chip spotted at retail

Looks like a PS3 slim with a 40nm RSX chip has been spotted at retail.

Found by a poster over on the CheapAssGamer forum, the new CECH-2101 model is showing up at Target and Fry’s Electronics, and includes a 45nm Cell, which according to the post provides “reduced power consumption and hopefully cheaper costs”.

So there’s something for tech junkies to discuss. Complete with pictures for proof.

Thanks, GOONLINE, reask.

if it is true, then it’s cheaper costs, but for Sony and not consumers :)

    “reduced power consumption”

Unless SONY pays your power bill it does. ;)

I think that the power consumption for PS3 slim is low enough to be honest.
