Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition announced for Europe

Square has announced that a Game of the Year Edition for Batman: Arkham Asylum will be made available across Europe and other PAL territories on March 26 and will be 3D capable.
The new edition comes with six extra challenge maps on disc and features a play-in-3D option compatible with all standard and high definition TV sets with support for TriOviz 3D on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
All six previously released DLC Challenge Maps are on disc, including Crime Alley and the insane Scarecrow Nightmare.
It will be made available for PC as well.
The BBFC outed the game back in January.

Was this game of the year?
Should a game be able to release a GOTY edition when it isn’t GOTY?

I’m sure I saw it voted GOTY in a few places, although I think most sites went for Uncharted 2.
It’s typical they announce a new version, I just bought the discounted Games for Windows Live version last weekend!
