Its mildly amusing, i got a better impression of this demo then i did with the Japanese one. But the really loose combat and fact the game is abit random in what parts are spoken and what parts are text sort of annoyed me.

Lost in Nightmares is the real deal man. It’s classic RE with the best graphics available (RE5 engine), limited ammo, scarce enemies, more puzzles, and ALL atmosphere. The environments are amazing. There’s also an easter egg where you can switch the camera to ‘classic’ RE camera style.

Yes, it is short, but the quality of whats there and with the price point at $5, I felt I got my money’s worth and then some. Almost felt like a lenghty concept demo.

If nothing else, this serves as a tremendous testimony to how badass RE6 can be if they take the game back to its roots as this DLC content did.

It’s almost as if Capcom heard all the negative responses to RE5 and said “give the people a taste of what they want”. Awesome. BETTER than I expected.

9/10. IMO – the ONLY thing they need to fix in this is the transitions between doorways (needs to be smoother), and allow us to switch camera options on the fly.

I thought Lost in Nightmare was a waste of my money. Yeah it went to its routes but it was not a true tribute to the actual Mansion that was in Code: Veronica. I would have gladly paid 10$ or more for the full version of the Mansion not this trimmed down version.

Arklay research facility. Though its true that at one point in Code Veronica you come across another version of it.

From what i’ve seen of Lost in Nightmares it only has about 3 or 4 areas from the mansion. I’d rather it be a full remake to.

    Who wouldn’t?

But for $5 price of admission, I feel we’ve been given the perfect amount of playable content.

Some people are going to be like “this door shouldn’t be here, and the dining room is layed out incorrectly, and where are all the zombies, complain, moan, etc”, but it’s not even about that. I think the bigger purpose of this DLC is Capcom clearly demonstrating that they still got it and have the talent to take the series back to it’s original themes if they choose to.

Way to redeem yourselves Capcom. Please make RE6 more like LIN and less like RE5..

Well, seeing as the biggest complaint most people had with RE5 is that you cant run’n'gun, i doubt the series will be going back to what it was any time soon.
