I’ve spent at least 40 hours on uncharted 2, and can’t get enough, finishing the campaign 2nd time, this game feels like those old good games on NES or C64, that we could play over and over again. It’s a masterpiece of gaming, totally deserves all the awards.
Hopefully we’ll get 3rd installment soon

I was halfway through my Crushing U2 playthrough when my old PS3 died, taking my saved game with it. Will definitely be going back to finish it off. And now that a couepl of friends have it too, I’ll give the multiplayer a crack too. Brilliant game, favourite of last year (with Arkham Asylum in a close second place). Well deserved awards all round I reckon.

Those are pretty good choices all round.
They even got the voice award right for the Joker – much as the cast of Uncharted 2 was uniformly great Hamill’s Joker was easily the best voice work – admittedly playing the character of the Joker, as with Ledger in the movie, does give you a lot to work with.

That’s a lot of awards for Uncharted 2.
I hope Naughty Dog have got a big trophy room.

I just popped in the demo after reading the comments about the game and it does indeed look fantastic.
The only issue I have with it is the shooting as it is still the same as the first one.
I just find it a little bit awkward tbh.
Does any one agree?

This is the only game this generation I can play the campaign story on any given day over and over without getting bored. It truly is what MGS1 was in the PS1 days for me. Congrats ND true Game DEVS 100%.

Not really, but then I didn’t find it an issue in the first game either. Saying that, I am a really crap shot so I might be the best judge. I’ve played through the second one nearly three times and still haven’t got the ‘five headshots in a row’ trophy.

I assume we are talking Uncharted 2 here? I found the second to be a much more refined combat experience personally. Little tweaks like aim and throw grenade lobs were welcome. The fights themselves are a lot more measured and better designed in U2 as well. Well set up and executed in terms of content and flexibility of approach. I endured the fights in the first game and enjoyed and looked forward to the fights in the second.

@reask and Detal
Nah, I had no problems with the shooting on either, although the second I though had better combat due to tighter controls, much better grenades and much better designed levels/combat flows.
For me there is what I think of as classic fake shooting a’la Doom through to CoD. Fun, and very precise, but very artificial.
Uncharted feels a little looser, but in a way I like. Drake is more realistic as a character for me, and having slightly looser shooting just feels more realistic – without being too realistic either if you get what I mean.

In all fairness it was only the demo I played.
I just find the down the sight is a bit awkward.
Game looks excellent though and loved the very beginning of the demo quite a surprise I thought.
