Ubisoft: Splinter Cell: Conviction to last 12-16 hours

splintercellconviction7

Ubisoft has said in a Facebook live-chat that the combined running time of Splinter Cell: Conviction is between 12-16 hours when mashing single player and the prologue co-op mode together.

“Game length for story (SP and COOP combined) should run between 12 and 16 hours,” said Ubisoft’s Game Director, Patrick Redding.

“With Deniable Ops, it will be interesting to see how much replay value players get out of it!”

Redding also re-confirmed the game’s recent delay from next month to April was just to “polish” the game.

“We want the extra time to polish. That’s it! To quote the master: ‘A late game can eventually be good, but a bad game will always be bad…’”

Thanks, VE3D.

Also, I’m in no way slating the game here {it looks brilliant), but don’t you think it’s kinda sad that we wait so long for games… pine after every slice of information… and then we play them for less than a day (in total) and move on?

Hmmm, maybe I should read the post first… I just saw that’s 12-16 hours with co-op.

I’m not sure I’ll even play co-op (glad it’s splitscreen though just in case).

I seem to remember hearing that you can play the co-op episodes single-player with an AI partner, should you be friend-challenged.

Lol, it’s not that… I have friends… I HAVE FRIENDS GODDAMNIT!… Me and Hubert Cumberdale are perfectly happy together! =/

In all seriousness, I don’t have a GOLD account and I doubt many of my friends will be buying this even if I did. I have brothers I could play splitscreen with but we’re hardly in the same place at the same time long enough to sit and play games together any more.

So, God of War 3 will be 10 hours.
Splinter Cell Conviction will be 12-16 hours.

Will Nintendo pop their heads up and say that Wii Relax will take 20-30 hours?

Wii Relax takes as long as you want it too…. it’s a state of mind.

Different age groups really

I’m 19 and constantly out and about with the gf.
My older brother’s 20 and at Uni
I’ve got a 14 year old bro that’s more interested in do teenage things then spending time with his family
Then there’s my 10 year old brother who only plays Fifa games.

Not to mention i’m off to uni this year… so it’s a struggle to get us all together.

Game is not even finished yet and say 12 – 16 hours? I hope!

By the way, I’ll wait for PS3 version, Because usually they do come to PlayStation.

@Nox

I’m sure they have all the levels built and the game done from start to finish… right now they are most likely ironing out the kinks and testing servers etc.
