Microsoft says Halo 3: ODST has sold over 3 million units

During the BMO Capital Markets conference in New York, Microsoft's COO Dennis Durkin revealed that Halo 3: ODST has sold over 3 million copies since being releases on September 22.
Durkin did not specify during the conference if these figures were worldwide or not, but the title moved over 1.5 million copies during its first month of availability, according to September NPD figures, which are US only numbers.
NPD data for October shows the title moved 271K units.
