I could give a fuck about this game anymore. The dedicated server thing was one thing but after that interview where they basically said they would make more money with the console version so fuck the PC gamers, I gave up. OMG. Sigh. I am late to the party because of the time difference, but the fact of the matter is this: If there is a demand for a product, there will be black market versions of it made.

It does not matter if it is a game for PC or console; fake Gucci purses, Jimmy Choo boots, or counterfeit prescription drugs – just to name a few.

No need to get into an argument over what game system you prefer over the subject because it does not matter what the product is for crying out loud. The blackmarket thrives because most people do not want to pay full dollar value for a designer item, because having said purse, jeans or shoes is a stupid status symbol to your peers.

It is the exact same thing in the case of gaming. You have those who are not patient enough to wait for it to come out legitimately because the person in question purchasing it is 85% of the time willing to pay $God for something JUST so he can show his friends what a “cool dude” he is and feel he is superior because of it. Then, you have those on the other end of the spectrum who honestly want to play the game but cannot afford it, so they go to torrent sites and get it for free.

It would not matter if the game in question was $5 though – someone would pirate it and put it on the web for free.

It will never end because there is no way to stop it 100%. Human beings are industrious mammals and whether it is for good or ill they will always find a way.

Edit: One more thing. The situation is bad for BOTH sides of gaming, PC and Console. It hurts both equally so to argue over it affecting one over the other or trying to prove it spells doom and gloom for one particular side is just preposterous. It’s doom and gloom on both ends. It’s all bad mmm’kay?

One last thing: If PC gaming were to die, or console gaming were to die – which neither really is at this point, would that be a GOOD thing? Seriously. What makes anyone think either one would be good thing to laugh and point and say “I told you so” because of it? All it would do is hurt gaming, gamers, and the world economy in some form. Would it make Xbox 360′ers happy to see developers stop supporting the PS3 or vice versa? Would anyone really wish that on someone who owns a console or PC for that matter? Would that make those who wish it feel better about themselves as a person and make things in life all rainbows and unicorns? Would it honestly make your life better? If so, seek help now. A true gamer would not wish the decline of any system. Period. All are equal and serve a purpose to someone.

There. I am done, because all comments like this (“while consoler gamers are not as educated as pc gamers”) are doing is pissing me off.
