HBO files trademark for True Blood game

HBO has filed a trademark for a game based on its hit vampire series, True Blood.

According to the trademark, it’s for: amusement apparatus and games adapted for use with television receivers or with video or computer monitors, video games, computer games, game programs, video game discs, video game cartridges, video game CD-ROMs, video game cassettes, handheld video game devices, games, online games and electronic games.

No word on release or developer or any of that was included in the filing.

Another vampire game. Hmmmm.

True Blood’s pretty much one of the best shows on telly at the minute. Vampires – check. Nudity – check. Shagging – check. Comedy rednecks – check. Awesome theme tune – check. Rogue from the X-Men movies getting her tits out – check.

If you haven’t seen it, make the effort. It’s excellent!

The thing about True Blood is that it’s based off of a popular, and well written series of novels. Not that that necessarily ensures it’s good, but the series was also created by Alan Ball (also executive producer), creator of HBO’s other flagship show, Six Feet Under, which, imho, is the single finest piece of television (maybe film altogether) I’ve had the pleasure of watching.

I hope that if they do make a game, Alan Ball has a crap load of say on it’s direction. Oh, that and they don’t use EA or Activision.

Thanks for that bit of info rrod360lol, looking forward to watching it. Even though I aint seen the series I hope the game turns out fine as I’m itching to play a good vamp game again since Bloodlines. Why o why can’t there be more vamp games? *cries*
