Rumor: Okamiden trademark might be Okami 2

A trademark filed for Okamiden in Japan has Siliconera suggesting that it could be Okami 2.

Since Clover Studios has gone bye-bye, Capcom now owns the rights to the series.

Ready at Dawn released the Wii version of the game last year which is finally expected to land in Japan on October 15.

We’ve sent a mail Capcom’s way to see if we can get more on this.

Hopefully someone will get back with us soon.

Okami was flawed but brilliant.

If there’s an Okami 2 they HAVE to make it harder.

And please don’t make me fight identical boss battles multiple times again, that shit is boring, particularly in an easy game.

If this is Okami 2 then it would make a good launch title for the PS3 wandy thing – assuming the celestial brush makes a return.

Might be Wii only though, conceivably.

given how hardcore titles perform on the wii it might make more sense to release this on PS3. Infact it could work well on DS reworked of course, i dont think ds can cell shade:)

What everyone seems to forget about the original is that it was absolutely fine with normal analogue stick control. You don’t actually need any of that waving and pointing shit at all. An XBLA/PSN release for a sequel would probably help it to garner the sales that the original really deserved.

A retail release would be great. No need for 50+ hour game to be released on psn or xbla.
