Now if only you can delete the rest of them too (including the originals back at Konami HQ), all will be well with the world. :-)

You don’t find the character designs tripe and the drawing generally awful? Especially the faces? It’s like they got the “Bratz” people to design it. :-(

I’d like it if it were on a PSP. 20 maps seems dangerously little for a sit-down-experience.

Did anyone here enjoy Vandal Hearts 2, by the way? I played for an hour, thought it was crap, resolved to take it back next day, played for another hour, realised it was made of awesome and obsessed over it for weeks.

I liked Vandal Hearts 2. Not as much as the first, but once you got the hang of the battle system it was still a decent game.

I actually preferred it to the first. The art style seemed more consistent, and the storyline was a lot more substantial. Upgrade paths for character development were a bit simplistic though – you just bought the next iteration of armor/weaponry every couple of maps.

Those character designs really are quite hideous. Is that a Kenny Rogers bobblehead?

“You don’t find the character designs tripe and the drawing generally awful? Especially the faces?”

Not at all. I think that close up image used in the banner isn’t the best, but in general I think they look great.

” Did anyone here enjoy Vandal Hearts 2, by the way? ”

they were both fun I thought, the second was just a somewhat different game. man, it was a long time ago though. like, 9 years or something.

“man, it was a long time ago though. like, 9 years or something.”

Yes, back when the Japanese RPG still carried some kind of weight in this industry…

Each to their own I guess, Michael! I’m interested in the game but man… it’s hard to love. Like a particularly red-headed stepchild.

Maybe Konami accidentally advertised for a MySims game when they recruited the art team…
