X-Men Origins: Wolverine video – first 11 minutes of gameplay from retail code

wolverine2

The retail version of X-Men Origins: Wolverine dropped through the letterbox this morning. Get a video of the first 11 minutes of direct-feed gameplay after the break. It’s grabbed from the 360 version.

It’s amazingly violent, on first inspection. The movie runs from the opening sequence through a jungle level, which has already been seen in trailers.

We won’t spoil it. Look if you want to. It’s out tomorrow.

I had high hopes for the movie first time I saw this…bit disappointed they didn’t go for the same mature audience this is going for.

Hence why Die Hard 4 was so edited up and censored.

We’re on about the movie. Its odd that both are aimed at such different crowds.

Ah, right. Yeah, the game’s definitely not for kids. The intro movie’s a bit like this: o_O

Looks pretty average for the genre really, is there anything to set it apart from the likes of GoW except for the claws and regenerating?

For a movie tie in, it’s very good I think. Raven’s done a good job. Guess their fortunes are tied to the film’s though.

looks like it could get a bit repetitive. if the enemies are pretty much just those guys with guns then i can’t see it holding much interest beyond a few levels.

wolverine also needs to have plenty of attack variations to choose from.

looks better than most movie games so far though. i do realise that’s not the biggest endorsement ever.

Looks like an awesome game to pick up preowned for a fiver in a year.
